Spectrum Enterprise consolidates billing systems with Netcracker

Spectrum Enterprise is continuing and expanding its long-running relationship with software firm Netcracker Technology, whose Netcracker Revenue Management platform the enterprise service provider has selected as its sole billing platform moving forward.

Meanwhile, Spectrum parent firm Charter Communications announced that Stephanie Babin has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Billing Strategy and Design. In this role, Babin will help lead the creation of a converged customer ordering platform for Charter’s cable and mobile products while also continuing to redesign the customer billing experience.

Regarding Spectrum's Netcracker move, the provider is transitioning from multiple billing solutions to a single billing platform will allow Spectrum Enterprise to gain operational efficiencies and streamline its change management processes for faster go-to-market support, the company said in a statement, adding that customers new to the Netcracker platform will benefit from more detailed invoices that provide greater insight into their products and services.

“We’ve successfully used the Netcracker billing platform for many years, so it is a smooth transition to use them for all of our enterprise customers,” said Greg King, Senior Vice President, Client Operations and Experience for Spectrum Enterprise. “Netcracker’s extensive experience, the richness of the platform’s feature set and functionality, their deep knowledge of our customers’ needs, as well as long-standing history with Spectrum Enterprise make me confident in our choice.”

Back in January, Netcracker, an NEC subsidiary, won a Fierce Telecom Innovation Award for Cloud Services.

Regarding the Babin promotion, she originally worked for Charter from 2005 to 2012, and then spent several years with Comcast before rejoining Charter in 2021.

Babin reports to Cliff Hagan, executive vice president of Customer Operations, who stated, “Stephanie’s expertise, strategic mindset and deep industry knowledge have resulted in major advancements to our billing strategy and design, which has contributed directly to our company’s success in the marketplace. Her new role will expand her responsibilities across our organization and help drive innovative solutions to enhance our converging cable and mobile customers’ experience, while continuing to drive the billing strategies of our diverse business.”
