Sensors Converge 2021: Call for Speakers

The Technical Committee of Sensors Converge 2021: Design Innovation Meets Tech Innovation is currently seeking qualified speakers to deliver unique and compelling technical presentations at our in-person conference, taking place June 22-24, 2021.

Our goal is to a deliver unique, dynamic, and highly useful technical education program for an audience of engineers who develop embedded systems and are interested in gaining deep insights into managing the giant hairball of options, decisions and design tradeoffs today and learning more about technology areas outside of their comfort zones.  Who better to learn from, than other engineers?

We particularly encourage proposals from speakers with deep technical and practical experience who can share real-world experiences in designing and working with sensors and electronics in the following areas:

Technology and Applications

  • Industrial and Environmental Sensing
  • Intelligent Sensing (MEMs, smart sensors, AI/ML, sensor fusion)
  • Embedded Technology
  • IoT and Wireless Technology
  • Design Engineering in the era of 5G

Technology Considerations

  • Energy Harvesting and Power Management
  • Interoperability (including standards)

Vertical Applications

  • Smart Buildings and Cities
  • Autonomous Technologies (AVs, drones, robotics)
  • Manufacturing/Industrial IoT
  • MedTech
  • COVID-19: Technologies to combat a pandemic

Talks that will be given preference in the review process will:

  • Reveal new ways of thinking about and applying sensors and electronics in end products
  • Include a demo to illustrate key technical principles and engage the audience in a creative or more interactive way
  • Are based on real-world examples that involve the novel application of technology or illustrate a solution to a technical challenge in an end product, including a detailed discussion of the trade-offs and choices made (and why) during the design process

The deadline to submit is Friday, March 12, 2021. Submit your proposal here.

Please email Karen Field at [email protected] with any questions, if you’d like to discuss your proposal or topic, or if you need a (slight) extension to the submissions deadline.

Thank you. We hope to see you at Sensors Converge 2021!
