At CES 2025, exhibitors in the healthcare and fitness space are proving that sensors can be the backbone of medical innovation.

“Papa, Can You Hear Me?” Hanyang University answers a definitive “yes,” with its TD2, a digital therapy device that addresses tinnitus treatment using cognitive therapy along with auditory, visual, and tactile feedback, all enhanced by virtual reality (VR) technology. Unlike traditional tinnitus treatments that rely on medications with potential side effects, TD2 uses AI-generated stereophonic sound within the VR environment to target and alleviate tinnitus symptoms.

Designed to monitor real-time health and risk status via its IoT sensor arrays, the system targets the four most common workplace accidents—falls, bumps, suffocation, and heat-related illnesses—by analyzing individual movement patterns and utilizing EEG analysis technology, as well as detecting harmful gases.
