Best of Sensors 2021 finalists announced

This year's lineup of finalists for the Best of Sensors showcases the impressive engineering achievements and advancements in sensors technology across a diverse set of applications.

Judges for this year's competition were Sensors Advisory Board members Jack Gold, Roger Grace, Catherine Liao, and Brian Zahnstecher, along with Fierce Electronics' Executive Editor Matt Hamblen.

The competition consists of 13 categories for Most Innovative Product, as well as a category for Startup of the Year and Woman of the Year. Product entries were judged on the basis of:

  • Value to the marketplace
  • Impact: the "bigness" of the problems it solves or issues it addresses
  • Uniqueness of the design

"For over three decades, Sensors Converge has been bringing together the most exciting technological advancements and cutting-edge applications from across the industry. The finalists of this year's Best of Sensors Awards underscore just how far-reaching the impacts of these innovations have become, especially over the past 18 months. These finalists personify the commitment to engineering excellence and overall ingenuity we look for and we are thrilled to recognize their efforts in an extremely competitive field," noted Charlene Soucy, Senior Director, Sensors Converge.
