The TS 460 touch probe employs hybrid technology and offers both radio (RF) and infrared (Ir) signal transmission, enabling its use fin work-piece measurement on machines of any size. Dual signal transmission enables users to select either mode, combining RF when extended range and large amounts of data are required or Ir when higher accuracies and fast signal transmission are necessary. The optical sensor of the TS 460 is free of wear and withstands more than five million switching cycles during type testing. RF transmission uses the open 2.4-Hz frequency band with 16 channels and range is usually 15m, more under ideal conditions. Ir transmission range is 7m. A datasheet/brochure is available at
