SMT GPS/INS Antenna Is Small, Light, And Economical
VectorNav Technologies LLC

Touted as the industry's smallest, lightest, and lowest cost GPS-compass/INS antenna, the surface-mount version of the VN-300 dual antenna is a miniature MEMS-based inertial navigation module that includes both inertial navigation and GPS-compassing capabilities. It combines three-axis accelerometers, three-axis gyros, three-axis magnetometers, a barometric pressure sensor, two GNSS receivers, and a low-power micro-processor into a single, surface mount package. When in motion, the VN-300 couples the position and velocity measurements from the onboard GNSS receivers with measurements from the onboard inertial sensors to provide highly accurate position, velocity, and attitude estimates. The VN-300 SMD will be available in the fourth quarter of 2015. A datasheet is available at http://www.vectornav.com/docs/default-source/documentation/vn-300-documentation/PB-12-0004.pdf?sfvrsn=20
