Performing fast, automated connected and disconnected monitoring of as many as 32 switches, the X32 RFID switch monitor tag transmits status to a commercial EPC C1G2 reader without a battery on the sensor tag. The tag has a 96-bit EPC number, 32-bit TID, and a password-protected Kill command. The tag comes in a variety of antenna designs and sizes to adapt its performance to applications in the 860- to 960-MHz band. Reading distance is around 1.5m (5’) and evaluation kits are available.
