Microsemi Introduces Industry's Only All-in-one Outdoor Power-over-Ethernet Switch Solution Enabling Powering of Two Devices

ALISO VIEJO, CA -- Microsemi Corporation announced its leading-edge PDS-102GO outdoor Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch. The PDS-102GO enables connection of two powered devices to the network via Gigabit uplink, up to 30 watts (W) each, is IP66 rated and can be installed in outdoor environments. In addition, it enables remote monitoring and control of the devices' status, including remote reset.

Microsemi's PDS-102GO is ideal for applications such as an outdoor wireless LAN (WLAN), outdoor IP camera and outdoor point-to-point (P2P) radio. Additionally, the switch extends the reach between the switch and powered devices by an additional 100 meters, to a maximum of 200 meters, a significant benefit in many applications. The PDS-102GO offers lightning protection to the switch itself, and to the indoor network.

"The introduction of the PDS-102GO switch provides a simple and cost-effective solution for PoE outdoor installations. With the 102GO, an outdoor network can be installed in minutes with minimal installation costs," said Sani Ronen, director of product marketing, PoE Systems at Microsemi.
