Sensicast provides wireless sensor networking products and solutions, while B&B manufactures data communications products for industrial automation. Here's what they found.
- 1. Nearly 70% are researching wireless sensors for industrial monitoring applications, and about 65% of that group hopes to deploy this year.
- 2. Almost 70% of respondents plan to use wireless sensors within harsh radio frequency environments, which are standard fare in industrial automation.
- 3. 58% of respondents project savings of more than $100 in wiring and labor costs for each wireless sensor deployed.
- 4. 33% anticipate more than $250 in savings per sensor.
