In-Cabin Sensing Systems

As I mentioned in the last post featuring the data from Pitchbook, most of the investment activity: deal count and capital raised is in Mobility as a Service (MaaS) or Transportation as a Service (TaaS) use cases. The focus is certainly oriented toward figuring our the situational/contextual awareness of the vehicle as it relates to its environment.

What about the passenger? How do we utilize all the great advances in AI toward the understanding the situational/contextual awareness of the passenger to the vehicle? Where is In-Cabin sensing? Daimler's recently introduced the MBUX Interior Assistant powered by Xilinx silicon at CES 2019. For a demonstration of the system watch this video.
