Anaren Inc., Syracuse, NY, offers four Anaren Integrated Radio (AIR) modules to help OEMs develop products that wirelessly communicate in compliance with the ZigBee standard. The modules are based on TI's CC2530 low-power 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4-compliant RF SoC. Features include –95 dBm avg. receiver sensitivity; current consumption of 28 mA in active receive mode (CPU idle); current draw of 68 mA at 1 dBm, 78 mA at 8 dBm, and 130 mA at 15 dBm in active transmit mode. Modules are 100% RF tested in production. The AIR modules are bundled with Air Support for ZigBee that includes AIR-ZNP firmware, including code examples; precertification to FCC/IC and compliant with ETSI; and development tools such as the BoosterPack for TI MSP430 and Stellaris LaunchPad development kits.
