The M2M PICtail Daughter Board (part number AC320011) from Microchip Technology Inc., Chandler, AZ, provides all the hardware, wireless communication protocols, and application code examples to help you jump start fleet-management or location-based service applications. Developed with u-blox, the daughter board includes the u-blox NEO-6Q GPS and LEON GSM/GPRS modules and interfaces with the Microchip's Multimedia Expansion Board. The daughter board comes with GSM and GPRS technology to enable phone, text, email, and Web communications, including images and location information. M2M software libraries are free to download.
