SensorDynamics AG

SensorDynamics, Graz, Austria, offers a wireless inertial measurement system that combines a mobile sensor unit and a receiver. The 30 by 85 by 8 mm sensor unit uses the company's SD787 and SD788 angular rate sensors and accelerometers with integrated signal processing; it also includes an SD430 transceiver chip for ISM band frequencies of 315, 433, 868, and 915 MHz and can wake up from a 21 kHz signal. The wireless measurement system has a calibrated measurement range of ±300°/s for rotary rate and ±2 g for acceleration on all three axes, withstands shock up to 2000 g, integrates a 2D compass for absolute orientation, and features continuous self-diagnostics. Synchronous wireless transmission of measured values uses standard FMSK modulation over the 433 MHz band at 125 Kbps. 32 KB of flash memory supports the RF circuit.
