The expanded MiWi development environment from Microchip Technology Inc., Chandler, AZ, lets you design star and mesh wireless networks based on the company's MiWi wireless networking protocol. Suited for developing wireless networks for home and industrial automation, wireless sensor monitoring and control, and smart energy, the development environment includes the company's MiWi P2P, MiWi and MiWi PRO star and mesh networking protocol stacks; the 8-bit wireless development kit (WDK); ZENA wireless adapters (2.4 GHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz); and the multipurpose Wireless Development Studio with cross-platform support for Linux, Max OS, and Windows operating systems. MiWi PRO supports up to 64 hops and 8000 nodes in an integrated mesh network topology.
