G2 Microsystems

G2 Microsystems, Campbell, CA, offers the G2C543 low-power WiFi SoC, the G2M5437 module, and the Icon development kit to let you connect consumer electronic devices to the Internet or to future WiFi-based PAN systems. The G2C543 is a WiFi and networking SoC with a 32-bit CPU, operating system, network stack, crypto accelerators, power management subsystem, real-time clock, and a sensor interface that lets it operate as a networking slave or a standalone host. The G2M5437 module includes a power amplifier and antenna, the G2C543 SoC, 8 MB Flash memory, and comes precertified for FCC and CE regulations and tested for WiFi Alliance WMM and WMM power-save modes. The Icon development kit includes a small board with standard UART, SPI, SDIO interfaces and a WiFi SoC preloaded with the Icon application that lets a G2 module become a WiFi networking interface for mains- and battery-operated devices.
