The Model 209 from Setra Systems Inc., Boxborough, MA, is a variable capacitance pressure transducer available in pressure ranges from 1–10,000 psig and a choice of gauge, sealed gauge, or vacuum pressure versions. Suited for extreme environmental OEM and industrial environments, the sensors have a choice of 4–20 mA, 0.5–5.5 VDC, 1–6 VDC, or 0.5–4.5 VDC output with ±0.25% F.S. accuracy across all pressure ranges. The sensors incorporate a corrosion-resistant 17-4 PH SS capacitance sensing element coupled with a high-level output IC-based circuit with a center-mount rigid SS electrode originating from the variable capacitor. Units operate from a standard unregulated DC power source and over a –40°C to 85°C temperature range.
