Designed for compact control and monitoring applications, the Model USB-DIO-96 USB module from ACCES I/O Products Inc., San Diego, CA, features 96 or 48 lines of industrial-strength TTL digital I/O. Features include twelve or six 8-bit ports independently selectable for input or output; buffered I/O lines with 32 mA source, 64 mA sink capabilities; USB 2.0 and backwards compatibility with USB 1.1; and jumper-selectable I/O that can be pulled up to 5 V for contact monitoring, down to ground, or floating. The module can be used to monitor dry contacts or generate outputs for external device control in portable, laptop, laboratory, industrial automation, and other embedded OEM applications.
