The UOS-100 from
Pepperl+Fuchs Inc., Twinsburg, OH, combines ultrasonic emitters, receivers, and a control interface, and is designed to enhance error-proofing in demanding industrial assembly applications. The system lets you determine the position of a tool or object in 3D space without needing complex mechanical systems, such as articulating arms. The system takes propagation time measurements and outputs calculated X,Y,Z coordinates of the object to be positioned. One UOS-100 control interface can monitor and control up to 4 workstations simultaneously.
