Meggitt Sensing Systems

Meggitt Sensing Systems, Irvine, CA, offers Endevco model 7298 triaxial, variable capacitance accelerometer for measurement of low-frequency events in aircraft flight and flutter testing, automotive rough-road body-motion studies, suspension system tests, railroad testing and train tilt control, centrifugal force, launch loading and acceleration, and short-term navigation. Typical applications require measurement of whole-body motion in three mutually orthogonal directions following a shock or in the presence of vibrational inputs. There are 6 models, 2 g to 100 g, and a SS hermetically sealed package. The unit is 14.2 mm high and 22 g; standard excitation input range from 6–45 VDC; temperature range -55ºC to 125ºC with integral digital temperature compensation; 0.5% F.S. typical non-linearity and hysteresis for most ranges and +1% F.S. max. for thermal sensitivity shift and thermal zero shift.
