The BMI055 from Bosch Sensortec GmbH, Reutlingen, Germany, is a 3.0 by 4.5 by 0.95 mm IMU that incorporates a triaxial MEMS accelerometer and triaxial MEMS gyroscope in a single package. Intended for advanced consumer electronics applications, such as game consoles or gaming applications in smartphones and tablet computers, the 6 DOF device features 16-bit resolution for the gyro, 12-bit resolution for the accelerometer, low power consumption, an excellent SNR, programmable measurement ranges of ±125°/s to ±2000°/s (gyro) and ±2 g to ±16 g (accelerometer), accelerometer zero-g offset of 70 mg (typical), and I²C and SPI digital interfaces.
