The Model FT3 thermal mass flowmeter and temperature transmitter from Fox Thermal Instruments Inc., Marina, CA, is designed for use in any pure or mixed-gas application and for use in refineries, petrochemical plants, and natural gas gathering/processing plants. Features include dual 4–20 mA outputs (one for flow and the other selectable for flow or temperature), a pulse output, CAL-V in-situ calibration validation, optional HART and RS-485 Modbus communications, IR buttons to maintain the integrity of the enclosure, a standard USB port, and software for configuration and data logging and graphing.
