The sub-1 GHz RF family from Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, TX, provides connectivity for low-power wireless applications in the security, Smart Grid, industrial, wireless healthcare, and home and building automation markets. The family consists of the CC1120 and CC1121 transceivers and the CC1175 transmitter. The CC1120 offers 65 dB adjacent-channel rejection and 12.5 kHz channel spacing while the CC1121 offers 50 kHz channel spacing and 48/57 dB adjacent/alternate channel selectivity. Advanced RF sniff mode lets systems listen for RF packets using very little power, <3 mA in receive sniff mode, while maintaining full RF performance. Devices operate at 169, 433, 868, 915, and 950 MHz and have a range >10 km.
