The DR7DC strain gauge amplifier from RDP Electrosense, Pottstown, PA, is designed to avoid potential ground-loop noise problems and is EMC compliant. The device operates from a 9–36 VDC supply and can be configured for outputs of 0–10 V, ±10 V, or 4–20 mA from input signals ranging from 4 mV to 10 V. Transducer excitation is adjustable from 3–10 VDC, nonlinearity is 0.02% F.S. (typical), output bandwidth is up to 5 kHz, and operating temperature range is –10°C to 60°C. The device is designed for simple integration into industrial systems, for integrating industrial load cells and pressure sensors into a control system.
