The EH4200 Series of micropower low-voltage booster modules from Advanced Linear Devices (ALD) Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, are designed to step up or boost the output voltage of energy generators, such as thermoelectric generators, electromagnetic coils, photovoltaic cells, and IR emitters. The devices use the company's micropower MOSFET semiconductor devices and a self-starting transformer-oscillator stage, draw their operating power from the energy generator, and create a voltage gain ranging from 75–150 times. Nominal input impedance is 50 ohms for the EH4205 and 950 ohms for the EH4295. The booster modules are compatible with, and suited for use with, the company's EH300/EH301/EH300A/EH301A energy-harvesting modules.
