LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire) -- At the SID Display Week exhibition, Stantum, a pioneer developer of multi-touch technology, has unveiled palm rejection for its patented Interpolated Voltage Sensing Matrix (IVSM) technology. Stantum is demonstrating this in booth #1354.

Along with high responsiveness, high resolution, and passive stylus input, palm rejection helps realize the ergonomics of the pen-and-paper experience. For example, it distinguishes a palm resting on the display so a user can comfortably write on the device. Unlike other technologies, finger and stylus input can be achieved simultaneously with palm rejection; Stantum's IVSM technology enables 10 simultaneous touches.
Palm rejection is available as an API (application programming interface) to Windows and Android operating systems on x86 and ARM platforms. IVSM touch modules are offered to OEMs through the company's Qualified Manufacturers Partners, comprising tier-one touch-screen manufacturers with high-volume production capabilities.
