The PS15 potentiometer from PIHER North America, Libertyville, IL, is an SMD version of the company's PT15 potentiometer, with a 240° electrical angle and a 15 mm package. Features include 7 different rotor designs; 15 shaft styles; an optional detent with up to 27 different detent configurations anywhere within the electrical rotation; a shaftless design; 10,000 life cycle; linear, log, and antilog electrical tapers; and the ability to control variable outputs including frequency and change in motor speed or volume. Rotational angle is 265° ±5°, operating temperature is –40°C to 85°C, and tolerances are ±30%. Applications include test and measurement equipment, consumer electronics, automation equipment, and medical equipment control panels.
