Sensor Signal Conditioning IC from ZMD

ZMD AG

The ZMD31014 from ZMD AG, Dresden, Germany, is a resistive bridge signal conditioner IC that combines high-accuracy amplification with A/D conversion of a differential input. The CMOS device provides a 14-bit low-noise ADC; onchip digital logic for second-order error correction for temperature offset, drift, and nonlinearity; standby mode of <2 µA; a 32-bit programmable customer ID field; one-shot calibration; and integrated diagnostics of the bridge connection and bridge short-circuit detection. Accuracy is 0.1% F.S. over 0°C–70°C. Applications include microcontroller-based portable equipment, such as white goods, wireless pressure transmitters, medical infusion pumps, wearable blood-pressure meters, and temperature measurement equipment.
