The ZSSC3053 from ZMDI, Dresden, Germany, is a pure differential signal conditioner for high-accuracy amplification and sensor-specific correction of millivolt-level DC sensor signals. Adjustable to nearly all resistive bridge sensor types, the chip is suitable for microcontroller-based sensor systems in industrial, medical, consumer, and white goods applications for measuring pressure, temperature, linear position, force, and load. Features include one-shot, single-pass calibration that lets the microcontroller custom-calibrate the sensor in a short time; digital compensation of offset, sensitivity, temperature drift, and nonlinearity; an ADC with 15-bit precision, ±0.1% F.S. accuracy over the full temperature range; voltage range of 2.7–5.5 V; and operating temperature range of –25°C to 85°C.
