The PIoNIR:640 from Princeton Instruments, Trenton, NJ, uses a deep-cooled InGaAs focal-plane array and is designed for use in challenging low-light NIR or SWIR imaging and spectroscopy applications that require high sensitivity from 0.9-1.7 µm. The device uses a 640 by 512 InGaAs array with >80% peak quantum efficiency with thermoelectric cooling down to –90°C and low-noise electronics. The scientific-grade camera offers either built-in air or liquid cooling, or a combination of the two, and features a GigE data interface and a max. frame rate of 110 frames/s at full resolution.
