The sensors feature a short warm-up period, 10 kHz switching frequency, 15 µs repeatability, potentiometer adjustment of switching threshold, switch-selectable light/dark operate, a single red or green emitter, and a 1.2 by 3.8 mm sensing image for detection of subtle registration marks on high-gloss or other challenging materials. More advanced versions add TEACH options and red, green, and blue LED sensing colors in a single device.
