The Programmable Hall Device (PHD) from BEI Sensors, Goleta, CA, interfaces between a PC and the company's 9360, 8360, and 9960 Hall effect sensors, and lets you field-program output functions to meet your requirements. The PHD can be used for both analog and PWM outputs and features high and low clipping points, programmable binary/switch output, and the ability to program multiple points along the assembly movement trajectory. Included software lets you create output routines and offers a real-time graphical representation of the sensor output.
