UEIPAC Series programmable automation controllers (PACs) from United Electronic Industries (UEI), Canton, MA, are compact, rugged, and flexible and designed for applications as varied as unmanned vehicle controllers, test stand controllers, and hardware-in-the-loop simulators. The UEIPAC Cube includes an embedded computer running Linux, 2 Ethernet ports, a serial port, an SD card interface, an inter-PAC sync interface, and either 3 or 6 slots for I/O boards. The Cubes have been tested from –40°C to 85°C at 5 g vibration, 50 g shock, and up to 70,000 ft. The UEIPAC 300 lets you install up to 3 I/O boards. The slightly larger 4 by 4.1 by 5.8 in. UEIPAC 600 lets you install up to 6 I/O boards.
