Position Sensors from New Scale Technologies
New Scale Technologies

New Scale Technologies, Victor, NY, offers 0.5 µm resolution and additional packaging options for its TRACKER noncontact position sensor for optical imaging stabilization and zoom in digital cameras, phone cameras, binoculars, and other optical devices. Repeatability is better than 2 µm (bidirectional), supply voltage is 3–3.6 VDC, and supply current is 21 mA. The TRACKER high-resolution magnetic sensor has an integrated onchip digital encoder, does not require a light source, is insensitive to external light, and its encoder provides a direct digital output via I2C. The device can also be used for consumer electronics, precision biomedical devices, optical instrumentation, automation, and automotive systems.
