Photoelectric Sensor from SICK

The W9-3 from SICK Inc., Minneapolis, MN, is a photoelectric sensor in an extremely tough Vistal plastic housing that is nine times stronger than standard ABS. Options include sensing range, mounting, and connectivity. The sensor's connector is overmolded onto the device and its custom ASIC provides exceptional background suppression at an extended range and allows the sensor to ignore stray background reflections, detect multicolored/shiny objects, and provide high immunity to ambient light. The sensor also has complementary (light and dark operate) outputs in one housing and teach-in or potentiometer adjustment.
