Peer-to-Peer Wireless Protocol Stack from Microchip

Microchip Technology Inc., Chandler, AZ, offers the MiWi peer-to-peer (P2P) wireless protocol stack based on the IEEE 802.15.4 specification, available as a free download from the company's Web site. The protocol stack supports star and peer-to-peer wireless network topologies with an ultrasmall code implementation (3 KB) for the company's PIC microcontrollers. The stack provides hundreds of possible MCU implementations for applications that require simple node-to-node communication. The stack also provides sleeping-node, active-scan, and energy-detect features to ensure robust operation.
