The RC1180-MBUS3 from Radiocrafts AS, Oslo, Norway, is a surface-mounted high-performance RF transceiver module with firmware that complies with the Open Metering System (OMS) specification and runs on the Wireless-M-Bus for use in automatic meter reading (AMR) applications. OMS primary communication interface is based on Wireless-M-Bus (EN 13757-4:2005) and specifies the communication between a multi-utility communication (MUC) controller or gateway and electricity, gas, water, and heat meters. The module can be configured as a master in the MUC, a slave in the meter or actuator, or as a repeater. A master module supports up to 64 slaves, all with unique encryption keys. It supports S1, S2, T1, and T2 modes and handles AES-128 encryption.
