Nanopower Op Amp from National Semiconductor

Nanopower Op Amp from National Semiconductor
National Semiconductor Corp.

The PowerWise LPV521 op amp from National Semiconductor Corp., Santa Clara, CA, consumes 552 nW, has guaranteed operation down to 1.6 V, and extends battery life in portable equipment, wireless remote sensors, power-line monitoring, micropower oxygen and gas sensors, and other low-power applications. Supply voltage range is from 1.6–5.5 V, max. supply current is 0.4 µA, common-mode voltage range accepts input signals 100 mV beyond each rail, max. input offset voltage is 1 mV, and input offset voltage drift is 3.5 µV/°C. EMI suppression filters reduce unwanted RF interference. The op amp is built on the company's VIP50 BiCMOS process and is supplied in a 5-pin SC-70 package.
