The MAXQ7670A from Maxim Integrated Products Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, is an SoC mixed-signal microcontroller that integrates all the functions needed to accurately measure small-amplitude differential analog input signals. The device incorporates a 16-bit RISC microcontroller core and features an onchip CAN 2.0B controller, programmable-gain differential amplifier, 12-bit ADC, and SPI interface. Capable of enabling measurements in the microvolt range from sensors such as AMR sensors, the microcontroller is suited for use in automotive electronic steering/stability control applications as well as in industrial applications requiring position/displacement or other sensor measurements.
