The Sensortechnics HMA pressure sensors from First Sensor GmbH, Puchheim, Germany, have ranges from 1–150 psi F.S. and have increased media compatibility on one pressure port to measure gases and liquids. The sensors place all the sensitive electrical components on one side of the piezoresistive sensor element and use digital signal conditioning to enable total error bands (TEB) of better than ±1.5% F.S. over a –20°C to 85°C range. Output is an amplified analog signal; versions are available with 5 V or 3 V supplies. Small DIP and SIL housings have a range of pressure ports. Applications include industrial, pneumatic, and environmental controls; HVAC; and analytical instruments.
