The ID1101L from POSIC SA, Neuchatel, Switzerland, is a miniaturized inductive linear encoder with a 9.0 by 6.8 mm encoder head and resolutions from 0.3 mm to 0.3 µm. Outputs are A and B in quadrature. The cut-to-length linear scale is 3.7 mm wide, 0.9 mm thick, and 200 mm long. Max. speed depends on the resolution and ranges from 100 mm/s at 0.3 µm resolution up to 40 m/s at resolutions of 75 µm or larger. Each evaluation kit contains two cabled encoder heads, a linear scale, and an interface board. The encoder is insensitive to dust, water, oil, grease, and magnetic fields and is suited for speed or position feedback in industrial, robotics, medical, instrumentation, laboratory automation, or office equipment applications.
