The Intersema MS5561C from Servoflo Corp., Lexington, MA, is a 4.75 by 4.25 by 1.6 mm integrated pressure sensor that offers a measurement range from 10–1100 mbar with 0.1 mbar resolution. Suited for use in mobile phones, GPS receivers, altimeter applications, personal navigation devices, and digital cameras with an altimeter function, the sensor includes a calibrated temperature and pressure sensor for second-order compensation, has a 3-wire serial interface, and draws 0.1 µA standby current. Supply voltage is 2.2–3.6 VDC. Output is a 16-bit data word from a pressure- and temperature-dependent voltage.
