The 4-member PIC18F4523 family of 8-bit Flash microcontrollers from Microchip Technology Inc., Chandler, AZ, integrates a high-speed 12-bit ADC onchip as well as the company's nanoWatt technology to help you manage power consumption and extend battery life. Features include 10 MIPS performance, 32 or 16 KB of enhanced Flash program memory, 256 bytes of EEPROM data memory, up to 1536 bytes of RAM, 2 analog comparators with input multiplexing, up to 2 capture/compare/PWM modules, master I2C and SPI communications, an enhanced USART module with RS-485, RS-232, and LIN support, one 8-bit and three 16-bit timers, and an internal oscillator.
