The AKU340 from Akustica Inc., Pittsburgh, PA, is a high-performance wideband analog MEMS microphone suited for use in smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. The 2.5 by 3.35 by 1.0 mm device features a 63 dB SNR, tightly-matched sensitivity of –38 dBV/Pa ±2 dB for optimal microphone array performance, extended flat frequency response down to 50 Hz, and a shielded package for RF and EM immunity. The device can be used in microphone array applications where uniform microphones lead to increased performance of noise-suppression algorithms.
