SensorDynamics AG

SensorDynamics AG, Lebring, Austria, offers four new MEMS gyros in a QFN40 package, the SD705, SD706, SD707, and SD708. Suited for applications such as mobile satellite tracking or yaw control of model helicopters, the sensors have continuously working self-diagnosis functions, low cross sensitivity to shock and vibration, and a stable rate signal. Supply voltage is either 3.3 V or 5 V, depending on the direction of the sensitive axis, which is either in the sensor's assembly plane (X-gyro) or perpendicular to it (Z-gyro). Features include an SPI interface, simultaneous ±100°/s and ±300°/s calibrated measurement ranges, rate signals that do not saturate until ±128°/s and ±512°/s respectively, max. error of ±5°/s, and an operating temperature range of –40°C to 85°C.
