The SD721 from SensorDynamics, Graz, Austria, is a MEMS gyroscope now available in a standard SOIC28 plastic package. Features include 10 ENOB at a measurement range of ±300°/s, 1500 g shock resistance in operation and 2000 g unpowered, temperature compensation from –25°C to 105°C, and ±2.5°/s max. offset at all operating conditions. Applications include industrial, medical, and consumer applications that require stabilization of moving systems or analysis of movement.
