The MagIC magneto-inductive drive circuit ASIC from PNI Sensor Corp., Santa Rosa, CA, when used with the company's SEN-XY magneto-inductive sensors, enables six times greater magnetic resolution and sample rates. The IC allows the sensor to more precisely and rapidly sense magnetic fields while drawing very little power. Applications include high-precision inertial navigation system and digital compasses and video game and simulation controllers. The MicroMagIC incorporates the ASIC and 3 magneto-inductive sensors into a 3-axis magnetic sensor module.
