AEAT-60xx Series compact encoders from Avago Technologies, San Jose, CA, are noncontact magnetic encoders for use in industrial applications that involve harsh conditions. The encoders offer 360° angular detection, a 23 mm dia. cylindrical package, the ability to detect absolute angle position upon power-up, resolution of 0.0879° (12-bit versions) or 0.35° (10-bit versions), and no upper speed limit; as speed increases the encoder will have fewer samples per revolution. The RoHS-compliant devices provide an SSI output, operate from a 3.3 V or 5 V supply, and have ±1 LSB code monotony error.
