The LD46 Series of luminescence sensors from Automation Systems Interconnect (ASI) Inc., Mechanicsburg, PA, detect fluorescent marks on any object separately from its color, material, and distance inside the operating range. Suited for use in pharmaceutical, woodworking, automatic packaging, and mechanical industries, the sensors have a switching frequency up to 2 kHz, easy set-up, a bar-graph indicator, and an IP67-rated housing. The devices avoid interference or reflections from nonluminescent surfaces, such as mirrors, glass, and shiny metal surfaces.
