Low-Noise, High-Speed Op Amp from Linear

Suited for driving 16- and 18-bit SAR ADCs, the LTC6360 from Linear Technology Corp., Milpitas, CA, is a very low-noise, high-speed op amp that can drive to 0 V while maintaining high linearity on a single 5 V supply. Features include an integrated ultra-low-noise charge pump that provides an internal negative rail, input offset voltage <250 µV max., noise of 2.3 nV/√Hz, 150 ns settling time to 16 bits, and a closed-loop –3 dB bandwidth of 250 MHz. Harmonic distortion (HD2/HD3) is –103 dBc/–109 dBc at fNI=40 kHz. The op amp is unity gain stable, allowing it to be used as a buffer to achieve the lowest output noise. The output is designed to drive a series 10 &Ohm; resistor and 330 pF capacitor filter network.
