The scale, available with glass or glass ceramic as its graduation carrier, has a 20 µm grating period, standard accuracy grade of ±5 µm (higher accuracies available on request), and measuring lengths from 240–3040 mm. Its expansion coefficient makes it useful in varying temperatures while maintaining its accuracy. The scanning head is the same as others in the LIDA 400 Series. A reference mark is at midpoint, distance-coded available on request.
